This poster took me forever. It was so hard to find the perfect character and background.
My blog is a collection of my work at various stages, across different curriculum areas. Throughout my time at Paparore School I may share draft copies of my work for feedback and feedforward. Other times I will share my final published pieces.

Beach Education Day
My class and I were going on a trip to the Far North Surf Rescue, located in Ahipara. Everyone at the back of the bus were having a singing competition, including me. We slowly stopped, it was obvious that it was time to get off. We hopped out of the bus and walked inside the building while realizing that the demonstrators were waiting for us. The class sat down on the floor, and the team members instructed on what we should do when we are stuck in a rip and how to keep ourselves safe in the water. After that conversation, we had to pick a partner, I picked Charlize (one of my best friends). Then we practised on rescuing our partner and how to do it correctly. I hopped into the water first and pretended that I was drowning (along with the rest of the others). Charlize ran into the water with a special running technique and put the strap over my shoulder. She then dragged me back to the shore, and then it was time for Charlizes turn. She handed over the rescue props and ran into the water. It was time for me to save Charlize. SPLASH!!!, I jumped in and rushed to Charlize and grabbed the strap, carefully pulling it over her. Steadily, I walked back to the dry sand. It was time for free time!. Everyone ran into the water and swayed with the big waves.
